Uninsured Services and Fees

Certain services, as outlined in our Private Fee Schedule (linked below), are not considered medically necessary and therefore are not covered by MSP. These services are billed directly to the patient. Examples include, but are not limited to: completion of forms (e.g., EI, disability tax credit, insurance), sick notes, driver’s medical exams, medical-legal reports, and other non-MSP services.

The Doctors of BC provides recommended fee guidelines for uninsured services to ensure fair and reasonable charges across the province. At Doctor Clinic Family Practice, we align our private fee schedule with these recommendations and follow the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC (CPSBC) guidelines on appropriate billing practices. ​Our private fee schedule is reviewed annually and updated based on the Doctors of BC’s recommended rates.

• Payment for uninsured services is required at the time of service.

• We accept Cash, Cheque, Debit, Mastercard, Visa, and AMEX.

• All invoices must be paid in full before completed forms, letters, or documents are released.
